Jim was a huge asset helping my family find an outstanding home in a great Minneapolis location. Jim made our family's transition from warm and sunny North Carolina to cold and snowy Minneapolis (1200 miles away) seamless! We were very fortunate to stumble across Jim through Trulia on the internet. We were interested in one of his listings and he immediately responded to our request. He offered to setup a time to meet, and immediately setup a home search on MLS for us. He was also the only agent to offer to take us out immediately.
Jim was very proactive and always on top of things. He was very prompt returning our phone calls, emails, etc … and was always early for our appointments. Our house hunting time was precious since we were moving from out of state and Jim went out of his way to shuffle things around and get showings scheduled. He even changed his weekend vacation plans to the lake for us.
We typically traveled with two very young children (2 years and 6 months) and my wife and I were very impressed with how patient Jim was during the chaos. Jim did an outstanding job recognizing our interests, making recommendations, and use of our very valuable time.
Jim helped us navigate the very complex closing process – closing on a home sale and purchase in a single day! He guided us throughout the process and made sure that I worked closely with both attorneys and mortgage folks to keep everyone in sync. He also was working with our agent in North Carolina. We successfully closed on both the sale and purchase in a single day without any issues. This was attributed to Jim being proactive and his attention to the finer details.
We could not have asked for a better agent and now friend to help us find a great fit for our family. We will use Jim Grandbois again and will recommend him to all of our friends.

In Jan 2010, I needed to sell my house in Minnetonka to relocate to France. I was already working there, so I had to find someone I could really trust to represent me, to work independently, and also a realtor skilled enough to sell in a difficult market. Jim was recommended by an excellent friend: I new I could trust him. But did he have the skills, tools and expertise to sell in Minnetonka? I evaluated the services of a very good realtor, specialized with this market. Jim came out with the same marketing plan; he had the skills.
